About Guy Wann

Guy Wann is an author, traveler, artist, and endlessly curious collector of unusual stories. His publishing journey has ranged from hands-on creative books about acrylic painting and baking to practical guides, humor, travel, and the wonderfully bizarre corners of history. That wide range is connected by a simple idea: learning should feel inviting, useful, and fun.

As the creative force behind SparkTrail Press, Guy develops books for readers who would rather take the scenic route, then brings those titles to listeners through audiobook editions. His Weird America guides explore strange places, local legends, and road-trip discoveries across the United States. The Weird Europe series turns train journeys and historic cities into approachable adventures, while Strange But True digs into real events so peculiar they sound invented.

Guy’s books combine careful research with colorful presentation and a cheeky sense of humor. Whether the subject is Yellowstone, the Rhine, forgotten occupations, unusual animals, or a historical disaster caused by spectacularly bad judgment, his goal is to give readers something worth remembering and a good reason to keep turning the page.

The world is more interesting when you follow the odd signs, ask one more question, and never skip the weird little road on the map.
